William Ross Searle has created numerous paintings over the years usually categorized as "history paintings". The paintings have a direct relationship to current happenings, or historical events, places, people, etc. A few of those paintings are pictured on this web site. There are nine drawing/paintings and collages that reside in the permanent collection of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Samples of that work appear on this page. The artwork was created in the late 1960's. Searle has also done book illustrations, designed historical pamphlets, medallions, and worked closely on numerous projects with various historical societies.
