Paintings of Vermont

William Ross Searle has a family connection to Vermont. His wife was born and reared in Barre. His Luce family ancestors helped settle Stowe. They both harbor strong feelings for the beauty and majesty of this very special place. There is an honesty and rootedness to Vermont and its people, reminiscent of William Ross Searle's early experience with fellow islanders on Martha's Vineyard, his boyhood home.
